“Kiss Goodbye All Night” was a song early in the process I wrote with Brandon Hood, Phil O’Donnell and Josh Jenkins. And it's kind of a Friday night, you know, you don’t want the night to end song.

"HATING EVERYTHING SHE TRIES ON"
“Hating Everything She Tries On” is a situation I think we’ve all been in. Where your lady just can’t decide, you know, what she wants to wear and well you’re just happy to be a part of the process.

“She” is a song I wrote with Brandon Hood and John Pierce. Brandon had the idea for it and I kind of took inspiration from a special little lady to write that one.

"BAD DAY TO BE A BEER"
“Bad Day To Be A Beer” I had heard my friend Michael say that. We were out fishing one day and it was really the first song I wrote during the Pandemic. It was the first zoom write I ever did. I brought that idea to Marv Green and J.T Harding and we made a fun drinking song.

"HEARTS DON’T BREAK EVEN"
“Hearts Don’t Break Even,” I woke up one morning with a phrase in my head. I think the phrase was “hearts don’t break” and I brought it into Liz Rose and Brandon Hood and Liz goes “Oh what about hearts don’t break even” and we kind of put this Glen Campell melody behind it and love to sing that song.

"DANCE OF A LIFETIME"
“Dance Of A Lifetime” is a special little song. I wrote it with Phill O’Donnell and Brandon Hood. It was one of the earliest songs we wrote on the record. And I already had about 5 or 6 friends get married to it.

"OVER DRINKING UNDER THINKING"
“Over Drinking Under Thinking” is my honkey tonker bar room song. Fits right at home at Billy Bob's or Green Hall or any of these Texas Honkey Tonks

"TIPPING POINT"
“Tipping Point” oh that was a fun song to write. We had that idea to kind of do the Buck Owen's start on it and man its so much fun.

"DON’T LOOK DOWN"
“Don’t Look Down” was really my attempt at trying to write Roy Orbison song. Big fan of Roy and his melodies and his singing and that’s just what we went for.

"GOING DOWN SWINGING"
“Going Down Swinging” probably the earliest song I wrote in Nashville. I wrote with Phill O’Donnell and Brandon Hood. And I’ve always been a fan of western swing. And we had the opportunity to cut it with Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers. And thank you to those guys for coming in and singing on it.

“Save It For A Sunny Day” I wrote it with Tim Nichols and Marv Green. And it’s kind of a sad song. I’m a sucker for sad songs in country music. Something about them just make me happy.

"LONG HALL"
“Long Hall” featuring the great James Burton. Those of you who don’t know who James Burton is, he played guitar with Elvis back in the day. He is one of the most influential guitar pickers ever. And to have him come in and play on my record is a dream come true.

"COWBOY KINDA WAY"
“Cowboy Kinda Way” kind of a western little song. It’s one of my favorite songs to play live. We kind of jam out and almost turn it into "Free Bird."
