  So, “Party Mode” is a song I fell in love with because I have been that guy before and one of my buddies has been too. There’s been an unexpected turn of events in a relationship and you find yourself single. And the only thing really to do is to embrace the new chapter, right? This guy is out, he’s having fun running around town experiencing the night life again. It just makes me feel good. Even though he is kind of heartbroken there is still this optimism to it. Hope it make you want to poor a drink and dance along.

  FISH IN THE SEA

  "Fish In The Sea" is a song about really my ideal day of life of summertime anytime of the year if you can find warm weather. But it's one of those day that you kinda have to work towards, cause that's just how life goes you know it's about being by the ocean, a lake, a creek, a river wherever I'm at. And man there's nothing better than doing life by the water in my opinion so this songs about kicking back with your friends those people around you that you love and just chill out with and vibe with.   THINKING 'BOUT YOU

  “Thinking 'Bout You” is a song that has changed my life. It is simply just a phone conversation between myself and ex-girlfriends, that I kind of all cram together in the chorus. It is real to me and I guess that is why it’s worked because people have been able to relate to it. If you guys have already listened to it thank you changing my life with this song. And Lauren and McKenzie’s. We have all enjoyed the success of this song I hope you come see us sing it live one day.

  STARS LIKE CONFETTI

  “Stars Like Confetti” is a song with a storyline that I dream about having and that’s a night out in the country. I’ve sang about it a lot and that’s because it’s real life –at least in my lifetime and in my friend circle. We love to be out in the country and doing that with someone else that you’re really in to... you can’t beat that kind of night. That always beats the hell out of being in a city to me, so that what “Stars Like Confetti” means to me and I love singing it.

  SOMETHIN' THAT MAKES YOU SMILE

  “Somethin’ That Makes You Smile” reminds me to enjoy life and be present. It is so easy to get lost in comparing ourselves to other things, especially being stuck on our phones on social media. “Somethin’ That Makes You Smile” reminds me that’s not its all about working and getting to the next level in the music industry. Go out and enjoy the farm, get on the tractor, have some fun, hang out friends, build a fire...whatever that might be. I think that’s very important. I am happy to have a song with a positive message like that on this album.

  BREAK IT ON A BEACH

  “Break It On A Beach” is literally about my life and a chain of events that happened –just from someone else’s perspective. So it’s probably the most honest lyric on this album. You know, you dig in to all inspiration whether that’s a new love, a fun night, a breakup. In this instance it was a breakup on a beach so that’s what this song is... It feels happy but once again it’s about a breakup. I don’t know how we pulled that off but I hope you like it.

  TEQUILA ON A BOAT

  “Tequila on a Boat” is a song that I live religiously throughout the summer months. I love the water, I love boats. Me and my friends excel at life on the water. I don’t know why. We have a thread on my phone where we call ourselves “Pirates” --its all of my crazy lake friends. That is a song that we truly embrace and do life to. I hope you guys are doing life to it as well. My goal with that song is for it to make your summer playlist every year –so put it on there.

  TENNESSEE TROUBLE

  “Tennessee Trouble” is about one of those girls that you know is trouble. She’s probably going to leave you with a hangover but you cannot help yourself. You just got to go say ‘hello’ and experience that. This particular song, the lyric took us back to Cotton Eyed Joe, which is a honky-tonk that we used to play outside Knoxville, TN. I have had several legendary nights there –going to shows as a fan and playing that stage. It brings in both of those worlds and it’s a real country song to me.

  SUMMER NEVER ENDED

  “Summer Never Ended” is the classic summer fling love story. That scenario reminds me of the classic movie Grease. It’s kind of this sand in a glass that is running out. You don’t want it to but you know it’s coming. And this song embraces that.

  BACK ROAD TN

  “Back Road TN” I would say is the “small town boy riding roads” in the next chapter. Here in “Back Road TN” that character -there is a bunch of them where I come from and I really relate to that guy. This is another song and another edition to that book.

  HUNTIN' LAND

  “Huntin’ Land” was actually a joke that someone said down in my basement. We were writing another song –it was actually the guys that I wrote “Thinking 'Bout You” with. They were over and we were writing at the house in Nashville... One of my buddies is an avid hunter. He shouted this title and we went back and forth weeks later sending memes about it . We would make memes and send them back and forth. And finally we said, ‘ok enough is enough let’s write this thing!’ And so, the storyline that we put behind it is of one of my friends –he and his wife. He married a trophy girl up in Kentucky. Her dad has a bunch of farm land and since then I’ve got a call from the Father in Law. It’s been full circle. He’s wanting royalties. I don’t know if he’ll get ‘em.

  PASADENA

  “Pasadena” is a song that was inspired early on in my career. I wrote this song back in 2013 and I think that just shows you that a great song can stand the test of time and that timing is everything. It was inspired by a rodeo down in Pasadena, TX. I was reminded of it actually a day that I had a write in a studio in Pasadena, CA. It reminded me of a song that I had written years and years before and I dug it back up. It just hit a nerve so I sent it to my producer and we fell in love with it and had a blast recording that song. I think it’s very special.

  NOT EVERY COWBOY

  “Not Every Cowboy” is a song that was born on a writing retreat. To me it’s the classic American love story. As I’ve got to travel the world, whether it just be vacation or playing shows in other countries –even in third world countries-Everybody is in love with the western American cowboys –the western classics, those movies. I don’t know if that’s how they view all of us but that’s how they view a lot of us. I think that’s how they long for what that is. And that’s what this song really embraces to me.
